Eyes; Large and docile, bright, azure blue in color and framed by thick black lashes. However, her eyes are only glass and so they are strangely blank.

Personality:
Because she is not alive in even the sense that the undead are, left to her own Madalene has no personality. She was coached, however, to pretend to feel. She is courteous and polite, even tempered and patient. She knows everything a lady should know, and everything a lady shouldn't. She knows how to pretend to be seductive and sultry, and she knows how to pretend to be lady-like and sweet. She has been trained to pretend to feel a whole range of emotions and knows when to show which. However there are times when -if she does not understand the situation- she will respond incorrectly. She does not have the ability to learn from her own mistakes, so unless she is instructed on her mistake she will repeat it again and again. She is obedient because she knows nothing else. She will follow any order given, as long as it is does not obey wishes previously expressed by her master.
Sexuality:
None
Strengths:
She does not feel pain, or sadness, or anything. She can go through extreme torture and not feel a thing. She can absorb and retain massive amounts of information, and repeat it verbatim. She does not need to eat or drink and can go forever without sleep. She can not die unless she is severely damaged (i.e her head is smashed to bits, incinerated etc.) She knows how to please a man, and she knows how to please a woman too.
Weaknesses:
Madalene is very fragile. If she is hit too hard it is likely that she will be broken, and it takes quite a lot to fix her again. While she is still functional while broken, she becomes scattered and can not function properly until repaired. She can not always be trusted to respond correctly to situations, and can not learn from her own mistakes. She has little sense on how to keep herself safe, and has narrowly avoided being severely damaged several times.
Abilities-
Active:
None
Passive:
None
Weapons:
None.
Although she keeps a stiletto knife on her bedside table. She insists that she uses it as a letter opener.
Animal Form:

History:
Katrina Lowel died at age twenty. She was a prostitue in the city of Mat'elle, as was beaten to death in a back alley by a customer. Her body was found the next morning by the police and taken away. However, before it could be placed in the unmarked grave that the sad woman deserved, the body was claimed by Henry Desmarais and taken away to his home.
Henry Desmararis was a scientist and a magician of some infamy. His experiments often went haywire and as such the entire block around where he lived was full of houses that could not be sold. In order to avoid being kicked out of the neighborhood, Mr. Desmarais bought all of the houses and turned the whole city block into his laboratory. Pipes and wires connected the charming houses and the entire place turned into a strange machine-like complex, filled with his various experiments.
His latest goal was to bring back the dead.
The theorized that if creatures such as vampires could be dead, but still live, then there must be some way to bring the dead back to the world of the living.
In his experiments he used countless numbers of those found dead without anyone to claim them. However most turned into uncontrollable monsters and were thrown into the incinerator (not without breaking his leg though, leaving him permanently disabled and unable to walk without the use of a cane.)
Katrina Lowel was the first to awaken who did not go out of control. Instead she lay completely still, staring without seeing at the ceiling above her. She had no pulse and did not breathe. However, when commanded to she sat up. She walked when told to and spoke when asked a question. She was the closet he had ever gotten to a living subject.
She had to unergo many repairs, however, to make her body fully functional. Her eyes had been ruined and her spine broken in several places. Her spine was recreated with magic and her eyes replaced with enchanted glass that allowed her to see. Her lungs had been punctured and crushed so they were replaced with a clockwork replica that made her chest move as if she had breath, although she still drew no air.
She was renamed Madalene and taught to to behave like a lady. She was taught when to smile and how to react to different situations. She was taught manners and emotions and all manner of things about the world. Madalene was soon joined by three others who had succeeded at the same level she had. A man named Felix, and two women- Laura and Gizela. All of them archived a level that was quite nearly human.
However, Desmarais died before he was ever able to archive a truly human revival. The four were sold with the rest of his affects.
So they passed hands to a couple named Vira and Ben Grop. The Grops ran a brothel. They looked at the four human dolls, who had no feelings and followed orders to a fault, and smelled profit. The four were trained to react the way that humans do in the art of love making, and set to work. They raked in huge profits for the Grops- as they needed none of the money that they were paid and the greedy couple got every bit of it.
One day, however, Laura wandered into the street and was hit by a carriage. She did not die, just lay in pieces on the cobblestone street. The Grops, frightened both by the doll and by the thought of the impending investigation, fled town. The three who remained did not know how to repair Laura, and while they tried to find someone who did there seemed to be no one who possessed the knowledge.
"Madalene," Laura whispered one day as Madalene sat beside her, while Gizela and Felix were out, "Madalene, I think it would be best if I were allowed to die."
So, in keeping with her wishes, Laura was cremated when Gizela and Felix returned.
The three who remained had nothing to do, and nowhere to go. Without the orders of a master to keep them going they did not know what to do. Slowly they began to loose motivation to do anything at all. They would sit down in corners of the abandoned brothel and collect dust for days before they would get up and move about.
It seemed that this would be their fate forever.
However, one day a man wandered into the building. The remaining dolls sprung to life at the incentive of something to do, and greeted him. When he asked they explained how they have come to be in this place.
This man, Caden Orvin, was a kind sort of man. He was a kind sort of man who was also awfully short on money. So, in response to the doll's need for a master, he sold them to different households.
Febritzi was sold first, to a household in east Mat'elle. The other two traveled with the caravan of gypsies until Gizela was sold to a duke in Brynt. Madalene was sold last, to the Vita household in Alatus Nox.

Madalene gasped and fell back against the bedsheets as fangs sunk into her neck. She lay there for a long moment as the man she was with held her, staying still while he breathed heavily. Eventually, he dislodged his fangs from her neck and nuzzled the spot her had bitten. Not blood spilled from the wound, which displayed itself as two small holes in her neck, nothing more than a tear in the fabric.
"You felt nothing did you," he breathed, running his hands along her body, re-exploring it with reborn fascination.
"I did not," she admitted, speaking softly so as not to pierce the sudden quietness of the dark room.
He let out a long sigh and kissed her, trailing kisses down to her collar bone where he paused, he looked up at her again and brought up a hand to run his fingers through her hair, "How very sad," he whispered.
"Is it?" Madalene asked, tilting her head and smiling at him.
"Very much so," he said, his eyes meeting hers.
"If you say so then," she replied, leaning forward and kissing his forehead, leading him towards her and kissing him again.
Perhaps it was sad, she reflected.
Every one of them said as much.
