Character Application Form

Now that you've read all of the necessary stuff (and if you haven't, you can read it here and here), you might have a character idea in your head! That's great! Since there is a fair amount of reading to go through, I wanted to make the character application process fun and painless! The application is in the style of a letter written by your character.

That letter can be written a hundred million different ways, but it should include these basic things about your character:

Species
Gender
Origin Story (homeland? family? pivotal moment in personal history?)
Age
Appearance
Powers/Abilities
Personal Strengths and Weaknesses
How they stumbled into Alatus Nox

You can write it your own way, or you can copy and paste a code below for a template! Start a new thread in the 'Lost Letters' board and write away! Feel free to add additional content and make your character's letter more personal. Include pictures/drawings that your character might attach to the letter if you want!

Also, please introduce YOURSELF at the beginning of the thread, before the start of your character's letter. We want to get to know you, too, as a member!

Dear Friend,

Yes, it's me, that (species) (gender) you haven't seen in awhile. Hope things are okay on your end, because they've been strange on mine!

This mess I'm in makes me think of (where is home?) and (memorable family members). When (pivotal moment in personal history happened, so much changed. I know I've already told you all of this, but it's fresh on my mind...

I'm (age) now, you know. I'm not exactly the same looking since we last saw each other, either. I'm (appearance). I hope you would recognize me if you saw me. Did you know that I can(powers/abilities)? (Describe powers/abilities - are you good with them? Bad?).

So, things have changed, but some things haven't. I still (strength/weakness), but now I also (more strengths/weaknesses).

Oh, that's right! I mentioned a mess earlier, didn't I? Well, you see, I seem to have gotten lost in this strange place. (How did you stumble into Alatus Nox?) I can't seem to find my way out of this place, either. It must be really big! Oh well, here's to hoping I eventually get out...
