Pavren ran to the Magic Vendor and found what he wished he had not. The makeshift shop was crumbled. Wood and splinters were everywhere. Hearing someone move behind him Pavren swung around. "You! Did you do this? Are you responsible? By Slahorne's name we will kill you." As the man finished his sentence, two more individuals dressed like the man came into view on each side of Pavren.
"You got this all wrong! I came to help. I myself was attacked. I feared for a fellow acolyte's life. But, it seems I am too late," Pavren told the man. "Don't play coy with me! You are no acolyte! You adorn nothing that represents the great God Slahorne. I shall punish your blasphemy," the man yelled at Pavren. He began charging up for an attack. Pavren had no other choice. He met the man's challenge and he too began readying himself for. Both men began gaining a hue, Pavren's green, the man's purple. They both released the energy.
The amount of power released was enormous. Both people flanking Pavren flew backwards. One into another makeshift shop, smashing through the wood as if it were parchment. The other was flung toward the fountain where the woman had been seated before. The two balls of energy exploded in a shower of sparks and color. Pavren was flung 10 meters backward and into a statue of a peculiar looking Vampire. the man was engulfed in flames. he too suffered the fate of the men Pavren had killed before. Skin melting, vescera and brains boiling inside of the man's skull. Within a few second he was nothing but a meat sac of bones.
Dazed, Pavren picked himself up and hobbled to the goo of the man. Stumbling and falling many times on his way, Paren crawled to the man. In the sludge lay a bronze symbol of Slahorne. "Only full fledge members of the cult can have one of these," Pavren said gingerly picking it up. It burned at his touch from the fire that had engulfed the man. "You fool! We were one of the same!" Hearing something move, Pavren turned to his right to see one of the men get up out of the wrckage of the store that he had broken. "How... Who are you?" the man asked Pavren.
"I am Pavren. Initiate of the Cult of Slahorne. With this symbol, I claim my right as Mage of Slahorne now. You will be my acolyte," Pavren says pointing at the man. "Obey me or suffer the same as your old master did." The man nods his head and bows to Pavren. "I understand, my master."
