History: Born to one of the few wealthy families in Exodus, Briar led a relatively privileged and sheltered life, knowing little of fear or need. He early discovered a passion and affinity for natural growth and pleaded for his parents to apprentice him to a Poison Mother and they gave in. He was close to his older brother, and later in life, followed his example in beginning his own business. While his cross dressing brother owns an upper class night club near the red light district by the dockyards called Starless, Briar established himself nearly on the opposite side of town, just short of the slums, and has applied his knowledge of growing things to help others and turn a livable profit, though his parents still assist him.
The only way they were able to build their wealth in such a harsh town was by befriending many vampires, not the least among which was Governess Lady Capella. Some of these contacts used Briar's business in their need, and these relations have recently cost him his autonomy.
