History: Dylan was not born in Exodus Town, but spent half of his young life there as his sea going father took his family with him sailing all over to trade and explore. This meant his closest friends were rats and seagulls, as his vibrant parents were still very much in love and seemed to forget at times they had a son. He was never very unhappy, simply lonely and invisible and this resulted in displays of fierce, childish temper tantrums.
It all ended when his father misjudged a pass their ship was shattered in the rapids . Panic stricken, the boy uncovered a part of himself he'd longed for but never believed existed, transforming in his need to the avian he'd always had a soft spot for.
All instinct, without thought, he took to the air and flew as fast and hard as he could, but as the initial terror receded he lost control of his secondary form. This time the River of Abraham saved him, breaking his fall and carrying him downstream, to be pulled from the mucky river waters giving life to Exodus Town. Recognized by friends of his father, he was briefly given shelter until it became worth more to sell the boy than to take care of him. He escaped his captors but never forgot the betrayal and has no since known a warm home, or bed or honest, lovingly made meal.
