Nickname: There were some people in the past that called him 'V.' He might tolerate that... depending on who you are.

Age: 34, appears to be in his early 20s.

Appearance
Hair: Black
Eyes: Brown
Complextion: Pale
Build: Skinny, slender, sinewy. Taller than average, but not too tall. Think 6 foot.
Attire: Unremarkable red shirt, black pants, brown cloak.
Vocals: Generally slightly deep.
He usually wears unremarkable clothes, generally earthy, muted browns and reds, and black. Black is the main staple of his wardrobe, though he seldom only wears black. He doesn't generally like to stand out in a crowd, and his clothing reflects this. He does, however, have multiple piercings on each ear.
Vanth has a pretty wide vocal range, but generally speaks in a slightly deep voice. His voice can be sing-song, velvety, or completely flat, depending on whatever mood he's in.

If you know this series, he's like a Caucasian Mugen, in appearance.
Personality: He's stubborn, and usually irritated. Once Vanth has committed to something, only a previous quest, money, or sex, can distract him. Unfortunately, once he is distracted he seldom gets back on task. He's usually quiet, if he does talk, it's probably to argue or debate. Vanth is good at that.
Sexuality: Bisexual, but leans towards liking the womenfolk and the femme guys.
Strengths: Determination. With this comes a certain loyalty, though he tries to make it look like pure stubbornness. He's quick, and good with his sword.
Weaknesses: He gets distracted easily. He's from a poor background, so he's developed a habit of stealing from necessity, which has gotten him into trouble, since he's not the best at it. He's also not very strong compared to his speed. He's a young vampire, even relatively young by human standards, and therefore relatively naive. He doesn't really know anything about how to live his life as a vampire... but he hasn't really wanted to know.

Animal Form: He can be an ass, sometimes, but he doesn't shift.
History: Vanth never knew his father, and his mother, Sarah, never spoke of him. He grew up without money, his mother washing clothes to support him. He was very close to her.
His best friend from childhood was Koda, a girl his age, and a neighbor of his. When they were little, they would go on grand adventures, pretending to be pirates and kings. The slums were their playground.
When he was older, he worked as a blacksmith's apprentice, but his skill never progressed, and therefore he never advanced. He did, however learn a lot about different blades and types of metal.
Koda eventually moved in with Vanth and his Sarah because her parents lost their house and decided to move. Koda was always bringing home gorgeous women for a night or two, and was notoriously good with the ladies.
One night, Koda brought over a young woman named Inku.
That was the night that Vanth was awakened by a piercing shriek. By the time he had put on pants and got to Koda's room, sword in hand, the only thing that remained was her pale, bloodless body. And then, there was a deep sob from another room. He turned around, and, there was Sarah, suffering the same fate as Koda.
Vanth fell to his knees, and Inku caught him. Everything that happened next was red and uncertain.
The next thing he remembered was lying naked and blood soaked on his living room floor, being embraced by the same woman who took his mother and friend. She told him stories of velvet-robed daemons, of the rise and fall of empires, and of vampires. She concluded by informing him that he would continue on the legacy of vampires, got dressed, and left. He laid there for several days before he got up, washed off the now-dry blood, got dressed, and left town.
He's been wandering ever since.
