So everyone, gimme updates on your life. How are you all doing? What fun / not fun things have you done since AN died?
After the hype of NaNoWriMo, I'll start looking for a new graphics admin (or see if Shiro would like to come back) and think about what to do with this place. But no promises! Just maybes. Very intrigued, interested, and nostalgic maybes.
But anyway... yeah. Let's just chat n' stuff.  Hang out a lil'. Y'know. Yeah.

Aww, well hamsters are nice. Guys named Chet who are dumpable are totally not. Ugh. But congrats on the job! I'm still trying to get one of those down here. It's been almost a year since I last had one and it's ridiculous how hard it is to just get employed for JUST 8 HOURS A WEEK PEOPLE.

WOAH!
I didn't even see tha tthis thread had an existence of it's own! But now I see it because I saw that there was a post in here yesterday and that made me think that it was active so now I am here.
NaNoWriMo

I was trying to go for a more comedic type novel, but comedy I don't think is my strong suit. I might be wonderful at writing comedy I've jsut run out of funny things to say. I'm thinking about asking somebody to read what I have so far and tell me if I should jsut ignore the genre of comedy or not.
Ummmmmmmmmmmmm.
Oh a group of actors came to our school and acted out scenes that were controversial and exposed thing slike racism, sexism and domestic abuse and stuff like that, there was a part where we could ask the actors questions and the actors would answer us in character. And one of the skit's was about how a girl was hating her brother because he came out of the closet and didn't want to go to church and she was all "raaggaga your disgusting, God says your evil blarga blarga" in a really theologically ignorant way and so all the gay kids in my school retaliated with all kinds of questions and anger and stuff. And then me and my friend sitting next to me (because we are both wonderful conservatives) looked at eachother and at the exact same time said
"We are going to get sooooo much shit during lunch"
and then nobody said anything during lunch and so I said to him
"what the hell was that"
and he was all
"I dunno that was weird"
and I was all
"mmhmmm"
and then he was all
"mmhmm"
And thats my story and I'm sticking to it.

That is a very interesting story. I am wondering if maybe comedy is not your strong suit too.
I wouldn't worry about making an entire story comedy. Make it a sub-genre so that you don't have to focus on it so much. 'Cause I find it hard to be funny on command, and maybe you do too? Dunno.
OK OK OK SO ANYWAY...
I MIGHT BE GETTING A KICKASS JOB. AS A GRAPHIC DESIGNER. FOR UPS. I am so thrilled at this that I have no witty way of justly saying so. But I just want to make sure that everyone is on point with how excited I am. 'Cause I am. Really. I'd like to make monies to purchase things that I don't need.
And anyway... what should we do with this place, guys? It's a mess. I honestly don't know where to start.

(I think there might have been some confusion, the story I shared actually happened, it wasnt apart of my story, in case anyone was thinking that)
I say tear it down and build it back up, maybe not graphically because I like our set up, but the whole plot story and world, just revamp it, make it less sandboxy and work to create a game to play, like I mentioned in chat the other day, that's exactly what I think will do the trick, but I could be wrong. But a "phoenix from the ashes" I approach I think will do a world of good.

Hm hm hm... I think you're right. We've got a face-lift in the works to just sort of freshen the place up, but I'm definitely going to be working on a more... "demanding" plot.
If anyone has sub-plots for their characters, please feel free to put them into full gear this time around. Or feel free to hop into someone else's sub-plots. Even though we will have more structured site-wide plot, there really is only so much that I can do, and you've all been great members in the past, so I know that you've got great things hidden up your sleeves.
